As per Indian Vedic Astrology nine planets are (1) Ravi (Sun), (2) Chandra (Moon), (3) Mangal/Bhaum (Mars), (4) Budha (Mercury), (5) Guru/Bruhaspati (Jupiter), (6) Shukra (Venus), (7) Shani (Saturn), (8) Rahu (North Node) & (9) Ketu (South Node).

Human body has nine initiate (1) 2 for seeing – Chakshu (Eyes), (2) 2 for hearing – Karna (Ears), (3) 2 for breathing – Nasika (Nostrils), (4) 1 for speech & eating – Mouth, (5) 1 for Malotsarjan – Anus & (6) 1 for Mutrotsarjan – urinary opening.

If the planets favor & all the beginning of the human body are kept under proper control, the human life is compel to be a great success.

The Indian festival of Navratri has been earned from two words—”Nav” + “Ratri”, which means “nine nights” in English. This festival is operable ubiquitously India, but it is more prominent in the state of Gujarat and Bengal. Hindus celebrate this festival to express their trustiness to the goddess of power, Durga. The worship of the goddess Durga continues for nine days. Each day, a different form of the goddess is worshiped. Following the nine days of rituals and worship, the 10th day is celebrated as Dussehra, which is also known as Vijay- Dashmi. It is celebrated to symbol the victory of mythical King Lord Rama over the King of Sri Lanka, Ravana.

Ritual : 

The nine day long festival of Navratri commence in the Hindu lunar month of Ashwin. It mostly falls in the month of October. The celebration continues for nine nights regularly. As it is a big and famous Indian festival, it is also known as Maha- Navratri, where Maha means “virat”.

The two famous rituals are called as “Paath” and “Durga Aarti.” An Aarti is an ancient practice of singing psalm as part of the worship of the goddess.

The ninth day is also marked as Raam Navmi, a famous Festival, when stage shows and plays are organized ubiquitously India to depict the story of Lord Rama. On ninth day, the worshipers bid farewell to the goddess Durga. It is followed by the ritual of “kanya-pujan,” when the little girls are worshiped, and offered food (halwa-choole) and sweets.

The Festival is celebrated apropos to the region. For some  example in North India, the festival continues for nine long days, when fasting and worshiping continues almost every day. However, in the state of West Bengal, only the last four days are celebrated as Durga- Pooja.

In the western state of Gujarat, it is celebrated with much fun and fervor, where the most popular local dances Garba and Dandiya- Raas are performed by both men and women.

Men and women get dressed in colorful clothes and perform the dance together in open areas all night long. In the other states such as Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan, the rituals too vary from other.

Navratri Puja process

Every devotee is wake early in the morning. After taking bath, wear clean clothes.

Then supposed to bring along the items necessary to perform the worship of the goddess.

Then has to perform “pooja” according to the traditional methods. Once your thaali is arranged for pooja, you can apply kum-kum with some rice ,nariyal (Coconut) on the idol of the goddess. Then you can chant-sonnet the mantras meant for the pooja followed by “Aarti” (psalm). Is do continuously nine days of navratri .

1. Adoration Maa Shailputri on the first day of Navaratri

One of all nine forms of Devi Durga is worshipped every day in Navaratri. The first form of Maa Durga is Shailputri, who was born to the King of Mountains. “Shail” means mountain and “putri” means daughter. therefore, she is called Shailputri – the daughter of mountain.

Maa Shailputri, an accomplished form of Mother Nature, is worshipped on the first day of Navratri. She is also indicatory to as Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva and mother of Lord Ganesha and Kartikeya. 2. Adoration Maa Brahmacharini on the second day of Navaratri

Maa signifies love and loyalty, wisdom and knowledge. She holds a rosary in her hight hand and a Kamandal in her left hand. She wears Rudraksha. The word “Brahm” refers to Tapa (austerity) – Her name means “one who performs Tapa ((austerity)”.

She was born to Himalaya. Dev rishi Narada easily influenced her thoughts and as a result, she practised tough austerity as she was prescribed to obtain Lord Shiva as her divine consort. She spent hundred of years eating very little or nothing at all, but her austerity was so pure and had so much strength, power that it caused great disturbance in all the three worlds. Her desire to obtain Lord Shiva as her divine consort was lastly fulfilled.

3. Adoration Maa Chandraghanta on the third day of Navratri.

Maa Chandraghanta is the third manifestation of Devi Durga and is worshipped on the 3rd of Navratri. so long as she has a Chandra or half moon, in the shape of a Ghanta (bell), on her forehead, she is addressed as Chandraghanta. A symbol of peace and prosperity, Maa Chandraghanta has three eyes and ten hands holding ten types of swords, weapons and arrows. She bear to justice and gives Her devotees the courage and strength to fight challenges.

Her presence may be of a source of power which is always busy killing and suppressing the bad and wicked. any way, for her devotees, Maa is serene, gentle and peaceful.  worshipping Maa Chrandraghanta, you will open the doors to great respect, fame and glory. Maa also helps you attain spiritual enlightenment. Her idol, which symbolises both beauty and bravery, gives you the strength the keep the negative energy away and recapture all the troubles from your life.

 We need to follow simple rituals to adoration Goddess Chandraghanta. You should first worship all the Gods, Goddesses and Planets in the Kalash and then offer prayer to Lord Ganesha and Kartikeya and Goddess Saraswati, Lakshmi, Vijaya, Jaya – the family members of Goddess Durga. 4. Adoration Maa Kushmanda on the fourth day of Navaratri

Maa Kushmanda, the fourth Avatar of Goddess Durga, is worshipped on the 4th day of Navratri. Her name means ‘the cosmic egg’ and she is considered the creator of the universe. As per the Hindu Purana, Lord Vishnu was able to start creating the universe when Maa Kushmanda smiled like a flower which blossomed with a gusset.

She created the world from nothing, at the time when there was eternal darkness al around. This Swarup of Maa Durga is the source of all. Since she created the universe, she is called Adiswarup and Adishakti.

She has eights hands in which she holds Kamandal,bow, arrow, a jar of nectar (Amrit), gyre, mace and a lotus, and in one hand she holds a rosary which blesses her devotees with the Ashtasiddhis and Navniddhis. She is also known as Ashtabhuja. She has a splendent face and golden body complexion. Maa resides in the core of the Sun and thus controls the Surya Lok.

Maa Kushmanda represents Anahata Chakra in metaphysical practice. The divine blessings of Maa Kushmanda helps you improve your health and wealth. 5.Adoration Maa Skandamata on the fifth day of Navaratri

The fifth day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Skandamata, the fifth manifestation of Goddess Durga and the mother of Lord Kartikeya, who was chosen by the devataa as their Lord  chief in the war against the devils.  The image of Devi Skandamata portrays Her holding Lord Skanda in his infant form and a lotus in her right hand. She has four arms, three eyes and a bright complexion. She is also called as Padamasani after She is often depicted seated on a lotus flower in a her idol. She is also worshiped in the form of Parvati, Maheshwari or Mata Gauri. The left arm of the goddess is in a pose to grant boons with grace to her devotees.

The supernal says that Tarkasur, a great monster, once pleased Lord Brahma with his great devotion and extremely tough austerity. He asked Lord Brahma to shower blessings and make him deathless. Lord Brahma Disallowed him this blessing, saying none can escape death. Tarkasur acted smartly and asked for the death by the son of Lord Shiva, after he thought Lord Shiva would never get married.

Tarkasur started to excruciation the people on the earth. Fearing his strength would cause destructions, the devata requested Lord Shiva to get married. He agreed and married Goddess Parvati. Their child, Lord Kartikeya/ Skand Kumar, destroyed Tarkasur. Devi Skandmata is a symbol of the mother-son relationship.

By worshipping Her, you get highly love and affection from her and gets all his desires fulfilled. You may get supreme joy even in this very mortal world. Her worship automatically includes the worship of Lord Kartikeya (in his child form).

 6. Adoration Maa Katyayani on the sixth day of Navaratri

The sixth day of Navaratri festival is dedicated to Maa Katyayani, the sixth Avtar of Goddess Durga. Once there was a great wiseman named Katya and it was his wish that Maa Durga be born his daughter.

He practiced austereausterity for several years to please the Gods. The trinity of Gods – Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva – got annoyed and they designed Goddess Durga, who was an end result of the abilities of all divinity. she was born to Katya, she was called Katyayani.

Maa Katyayani has 3 eyes and 4 hands. She holds a sword in Her one left-hand and a lotus in another. The other 2 hands respectively show protecting and allowing actions. If you make lent of fasting and worshipping her, she would bless you with the husband you have wished and prayed for. If a lady’s marriage is getting delayed due to one or the other reason, she may worship Maa Katyayani to remove obstructions that may be causing delays in her marriage.

Maa also blesses you with better health and wealth. By worshipping Maa Katyayani, you may develop great strength to fight all disease, sorrows and fears. In order to destruct the sins collected over your several lives, you should religiously worship Maa Katyayani.

 7. Adoration Maa Kaalratri on the seventh day of Navaratri

The seventh day of Navaratri is dedicated to Maa Kalratri, the seventh Avtar of Maa Durga. Here, Kaal means time and death and Kaalratri means the One who is the Death of Kaal. Maa Kalratri destroys stupor and brings light into the dark.  this form also depicts the dark side – the super power that creates destruction and removes all things bad and dirty. But to Her devotees, She brings peace and spunk.

Maa Kaalratri has dark complexion. Donkey is Her mount, She has bountiful hair and four hands. One of the two left hands holds a cleaver and the other holds a torch, and the right two hands are in “giving” and “protecting” mudras. She has three eyes emanate rays like lightning and Her necklace is shining like burr. When She inhales and exhales air, flames appear through Her nostrils. Ganesha advises you to wear Blue, Read and White colour on this day.

Maa educate us that sorrow, pain, decay, destruction and death are unavoidable and cannot be ignored. These are the truths of life and denying them is futile. We must accept their presence and Importance to realise the fullness of our being and our potential.

8. Adoration Maa Mahagauri on the 8th day of Navaratri

The Eighth day of Navaratri is dedicated to Maa Mahagauri, the eighth Avtar of Maa Durga. The legend has it that Maa Mahagauri free the world from evil forces. She has three eyes and four hands. Her lower right hand holds a trishul and the upper right hand is in the mudra of mitigation fear. Whereas her lower left hand is in a pose of granting boons to Her devotees and she is holding a damaru in Her upper left hand.

She has vastly fair complexion and therefore Maa is compared with the conch, the moon and the white flower of Kunda. Radiant and compassionate, Maa Maugauri is usually depicted in a white or green saari and riding a bull. She is also known as Shwetambardhara. Maa Mahagauri purifies the souls of Her devotees and removes all their sins. She has a calming effect on the lives of Her devotees and she also helps them improve their knowledge.

Adoration Maa Mahagauri to be free from the clutches of the material world and to remove sorrows from your life, for She will lead you to the path of morality and inner power.

9. Adoration Maa Siddhidatri on the Ninth day of Navaratri

The last during the nine Avtar of Maa Durga, Maa Siddhidatri, is worshipped on the ninth day of Navaratri. Maa Siddhidatri grants Her devotees all sorts of achievements and is capable of giving all sorts of occult powers. She is the possessor of 26 different wishes (prosperity) which She grants Her worshipers. The legend has it that the Lord Shiva got all those Siddhis by worshipping Maa Shakti. With Her gratitude the half body of Lord Shiva became that of Maa Shakti, and therefore he was called as Ardhnarishvar.

This Avtar of Maa Durga recapture ignorance and provides knowledge to Her devotees. She is also worshipped by Deva, Gandharva, Asura, Yaksha and Siddha. Maa sits on Kamal (Lotus) and rides on the lion. She has four hands and holds a Gada in the lower right hand, a Chakra in the upper right hand, a lotus flower in the lower left hand and a Shankha in the upper left hand.

Her glory and power are endless and worshipping Maa Siddhidatri on the final day (the ninth day) of Navaratri provide all Siddhis to Her devotees and also marks the successful completion of the Navaratri festival.
