Pakistani Singer Ghulam Ali to give a performance in Delhi

Kejriwal tweeted, “Ghulam Ali Sahib. Hum apke bahut bade fan hain. Abhi apse baat karke bahut acha laga. Thanks for agreeing to do a program in Delhi in Dec.” Two of Ghulam Ali’s scheduled concerts in Mumbai and Pune were cancelled after Shiv Sena protests. The Shiv Sena said that while tensions remained at the Indo-Pak border, such a concert couldn’t be allowed. The concert was eventually cancelled under pressure from Sena. Censure the incident, senior AAP leader Ashutosh said that the cancellation of the event was not only an insult to the singer but also to Jagjit Singh, as the Pakistani singer was scheduled to pay homage to the late singer on his fourth death anniversary.
