8-year-old boy becomes police commissioner

A 8-year-old boy, Madipalli Roop Aurouna, who is suffering from Thalassemia and requires blood transfusion after every months, got the charge of the Hyderabad Police Commissioner for a day.

On Tuesday, after getting the charge, Roop, a 2nd Class student , who need blood transfusion after every 20-25days, signed leave letters of officials of the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate at Basheerbagh.

The child, son of Ranjitha and Vikram, who is a school teacher, has expressed his wish to become the Hyderabad Police Commissioner for a day.

Roop’s desire was fulfilled by Make-A-Wish Foundation an organisation that scholarship wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich their human experience with hope, strength and joy coordinator Dr. Pushpa Devi Jain.

Roop said he wants to control law and order to check crimes like chain snatching.

The child needs to take proper medicines, diet and go for regular checkups to see that his blood iron level doesn’t go high as it may affect his other vital part and parcel.
