Daniel Craig’s 007 is set to letup the Indian box office shaken and stirred with the 24th James Bond film SPECTRE, releasing today.
The film, which is a seriality of the story started in Sam Mendes’s Skyfall, is coming to India almost an entire month after it released in UK. The plot reportedly bend around Bond’s dark and secret past. Ralph Fiennes takes over from Judi Dench as the new M in the new movie as Bond hunts down a cryptic message from his past. The trail leads to sinister company ‘SPECTRE’ the organisation behind attempts at world domination in classic Bond films like Thunderball and You Only Live Twice. Daniel Craig returns in the lead role along with Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw as Q. New cast members include Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista, Andrew Scott, Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux and Stephanie Sigman.
Directed by Sam Mendes, the film has still grabbed headlines even before its release after the Censor Board’s decision to slash the kissing scenes by half and have a couple of swear words deleted.
Release today is the feature film X: Past Is Present, a collaboration between 11 filmmakers – Abhinav Shiv Tiwari, Anu Menon, Hemant Gaba, Nalan Kumarasamy, Pratim D Gupta, Qaushiq Mukherjee, Raja Sen, Rajshree Ojha, Sandeep Mohan, Sudhish Kamath and Suparn Verma. The film, which stars Rajat Kapoor and Anshuman Jha in the lead roles, premiered at the South Asian International Film Festival in New York previous year.
