These are the celebrity couples – Power Couple

The Indian adjustment of one of Israel’s most successful reality shows, Power Couple, is all set to hit our television screens. The show will have 10 celebrity couples living under one roof, as they face extreme challenges to prove how well they know each other.

The show, which will be propagated on Sony Television, will be hosted by actor-producer Arbaaz Khan and his wife Malaika Arora Khan.The promos of Power Couple are already on air and there is a lot of buzz regarding the celebrity couples who will be part of the show.

The series will be shot in Goa and will go on-air early next month. Some couples have been confirmed while some are just speculative names. Here’s the list of contestants who are almost confirmed for the show:

#TV actor Pratyusha Banerjee and her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh were the first couple to be confirmed for the reality show. Rahul also threw a surprise bash for Pratyusha on her birthday. Pratyusha has earlier been part of Bigg Boss.

#It’s been just three months since both of them are dating. Ashmit was seen in season four of Bigg Boss and Mahek was part of season five and Bigg Boss Halla Bol. Both of them confirmed the news of participating in the show to Times Of India. “Mahek and I have known each other for 12 years. We’ve have been acquaintances for a long time and our friendship has grown steadily. We became serious about each other three months ago. I started dropping her home and spending more time with her. One thing led to another and we became a couple,” Ashmit told.

#One of the most popular couples of television, Upen Patel and Karishma Tanna may also be contestants of Power Couple. Upen and Karishma were the contestants of Bigg Boss 8 and fell in love on the show and became hot topic of discussion after they kissed on national television. They have also been a runner-up couple of Nach Baliye 7. Upen surprised Karishma and his fans when he proposed to his lady love on Nach Baliye. UpMa, as they are called by their fans, went ahead and got engaged on the show, hearts and flowers galore. They fell in love on one reality show and got engaged .Its  would be interesting to watch them on Power Couple, provided they say yes to the show.

#This famous TV couple will be seen together on-screen after a long time. The two were the winner of Nach Baliye 3. When asked to why they chose to make a comeback with this show, Aamir said, ” We were in no hurry to come together in a show as we didn’t want to take up everything that came our way. We prefer being ourselves and not dramatics on a reality show stage. And this show required us to do just that. It is about understanding and compatibility between a couple, and how well they execute tasks.”

#These Couple participated in Nach Baliye and Pati Patni Aur Woh. Apurva is known for his role as Armaan from 2003 show, Jassi Jaisi Joi Nahin, while Shilpa has been seen in TV shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Lavanya. The couple got married in 2004.

#Mugdha Godse, who has been seeing Rahul Dev for some time now, recently admitted to being in a relationship with him. She also shared a picture of her and Rahul relaxing by a pool, on Instagram. In an interview she was quoted saying that they were more than friends and that the “feeling is very special”. The duo met at a fashion show over a year ago and became close friends.

#Delnaaz, who was sooner married to TV actor Rajeev Paul, is now in a relationship with Percy. Percy, who is 10 years younger to her, is not from television industry. Delnaaz was a contestant of Bigg Boss 6. “I see a reflection of my father in him. He is a part-time priest, DJ and dancer.vastly caring and accommodating, he is a simple guy with strong values,” 

#Sandip is a ballroom dancer and choreographer and Jesse is a popular model. While we have seen Sandip as a judge on Dance India Dance L’il Masters Season 1, the couple will be seen together for the first time on any television show.

#Naved Jafri is known for judging popular dance show Boogie Woogie. Naved got married to Sayeeda in 2012. In According to reports, the couple is in final talks with the makers of Power Couple.

#Sonal Vengurlekar and Sumit Bhardwaj They have also been approached for the show. If they agree to be a part of the show, the two would be the youngest pair on the show.
